Welcome to the new year!
I’ve toyed with so many ideas of how to cap off 2016 and introduce the new year into this space, but life (mostly friends and experiences) have popped up over the holiday break and I chose to embrace those.
2016 has been an interesting year for me. 2015 held a lot of changes and challenges; backpacking Europe for 3 months, getting into grad school, moving five times in four months… Which means that this year has been one more of stability, knowing where my life trajectory was headed (at least for the immediate future), and really settling into the city of Edmonton.
And now, I have moved yet again (but hopefully for one of the last times), and will be transitioning from my graduate coursework into a practicum position within my chosen discipline. This year holds a lot more “solid” concepts of my life, such as where I’m living and working, but like any other year it also holds the excitement of the unknown.

I have a lot of ideas for 2017. A lot of big, hairy audacious goals I plan to work towards for the next 363 days of this beautiful year. I emplore you to write down your goals for the next 3, 6, or 12 months ahead of you. It’s incredible what putting pen to paper can do for the mind and your intentions.
As for masteringhealth, you can expect more frequent and consistent content that covers all aspects of health. I’m excited to be in a space with my own kitchen, to explore and create more recipes, to find new ways to be active in my community, and to genuinely share what life has been teaching me through books, experiences, and people.
I am so thankful you are along for the ride. I believe that 2017 will be an incredible year for us all.
