Pantone announced their colour of the year and it’s a February baby’s dream (i.e. a beautiful amethyst colour called ‘Ultra Violet’). I haven’t been one to get too wrapped up trendy colours, but blogger Justine Celina raved on Instagram how she’s incorporating the colour into her wardrobe and my browsing on Wayfair has popped up some pretty cool pieces (see here and here and here).
In that regard, here are some of the ways I would incorporate Pantone’s colour into my 2018.
Butter London Colour of the Year Collection – If you want to add a subtle touch to your nails or lips, this is the perfect kit for you (and the carrying case is adorable). I can’t entirely get behind purple lips, but I love the idea of a pop of colour on the nails or eyes.
Perfect Spoon from DavidsTea – These spoons have been around for a while but why not embrace a new year with a new colour? This perfectly measured spoon gets you the exact amount of loose leaf tea for a perfect cup of tea – a great way to cozy into the beginning of 2018.
Align Pant by Lululemon – I’ve mentioned these pants before on my blog, because they are literally clouds. You are wearing clouds when you wear these pants and I think everyone should know about it. They are the most comfortable leggings on the market, and they’ve finally started coming out in more colours. 10/10 would recommend.
Om Mala Bracelet – If you’re looking for a subtle pop of Ultra Violet this is the bracelet for you. Amethyst is believed to help cultivate tranquility, peace and calmness, and said to hold a strong healing and cleansing power. It’s pairing with Opalite helps to bring an understanding of your true self and reduce anxious thoughts. Even if you don’t fully believe in the powers behind certain stones, I feel like this bracelet can serve as a cool reminder on your wrist of what you want to get out of it.
Amethyst Om Mala – And to pair with your bracelet, is the Amethyst Om Mala. This mala serves to open and clear your mind for meditation and inspires expansion of your energy into all consciousnesses. This is a perfect grounding mala if that is tied to your 2018 intentions.
Agate Candle Holder – While these are marketed as candle holders, they would definitely end up as coasters in my home while I simultaneously wouldn’t want to cover them up with any sort of drink…
Nirvana Amethyst – This perfume is described as “a rebellious, indulgent fragrance that leaves behind a trail of intrigue.” While I can’t confirm or deny that statement, I do think this is a pretty unique scent. The notes are tobacco, honeysuckle, and cedar, and is 100% worth a sniff next time you’re in a Sephora.
Lavender – And when it all boils down to it, you can simply add some lavender to a glass jar and soak in (not only the scent) but the beauty of this Ultra Violet colour for 2018.
How are you incorporating Ultra Violet into your 2018?
